NOTICE OF MEETING CHANGE
The Board of Elections and Registration of Dawson County shall cancel its regularly scheduled meeting of December 19, 2024. Business will resume at the January 16, 2025, scheduled meeting at 9:30 am. All members will meet at The Board of Elections office at 96 Academy Avenue. Any questions or concerns, please call the Elections office at 706-344-3640. Meetings are open to the public.

Pursuant to new State Election Board rule 183-1-12-.12(f), The Board of Elections and Registration of Dawson County shall conduct a pre-certification meeting on November 8, 2024 at 3 p.m. to review precinct returns of the November 5, 2024 General/Special Election. Certification of said election will follow at 5 p.m. All board members will meet at 96 Academy Avenue. Any questions or concerns, please call the Elections office at 706-344-3640. Meetings are open to the public.

NOTICE OF COMPUTATION & CANVASSING OF RETURNS
Pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 21-2-492, notice is hereby given that
the computation and canvassing of the returns of votes cast in the
November 5, 2024 General/Special Election will be held in the office of the County Election Supervisor at 96 Academy Avenue, in Dawsonville, Georgia. Consolidation will commence on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. and continue until completion.

Glenda Ferguson
Elections Director
Mrs. Ferguson began working with the Board of Elections & Registration as Assistant to the Board in March 2003. In December 2006, Glenda was appointed as Chair of the Board of Elections, Election Supervisor and Chief Registrar, serving four 4 year terms from January 1, 2007 to December 2022.
She has been the Director of Elections and Voter Registration since January 2023.

Rachelle has served Dawson County for over 18 years and has been working with elections since October 2013. Rachelle coordinates all stages of elections to ensure voters have a positive and confident voting experience.

Megan Durant
Voter Services Specialist
After serving Dawson County in the Tax Commissioner's Office for over 10 years, Megan joined the Election's team in April of 2023. Mrs. Durant is the primary management of voter registrations, changes, and cancellations.

Brittany began her elections experience as a poll worker in 2008, and served the Dawson County Board of Elections as Absentee Ballot Specialist through April 2021. Opportunity arose to return Mrs. Payne in February of 2024 as the Election Systems Manager.

Administrative Clerk
Martha joined this phenomenal team on June 28, 2021 and has learned more than she ever thought possible about our elections system. She considers this job her forever dream job. With her husband Jason, she has four children and eight grandchildren. Martha has 30+ years banking experience with a concentration in customer service. It is her goal to always answer each call with a smile.

Mr. Holland worked for Conagra Foods for 34 years and retired in 2012. He has been a resident in Dawson County since 2002 and a Board of Elections member for 7 years and Chairman since 2023. He is an avid golfer and enjoy photography and travel in my spare time.
Through his time working with the other Board members and the dedicated Dawson County Elections staff, the experience of the Elections department has been more than rewarding.

Mr. McComiskey has been a permanent resident of Dawson County since January, 2001. He is an Independent voter who has assisted Dawson County as a Poll Worker for several years before becoming a board member for the Dawson County Elections and Registration Board. His focus and goal as a Poll Worker and board member is to make sure we have safe, secure, and accurate voting.

The Dawson County Board of Elections & Voter Registration is located at 96 Academy Ave in downtown Dawsonville. This is the location where you can come to vote during Advanced voting no matter what precinct you live in or on Election Day if you live in the West or Central precinct.

If you live in East or South precinct, voting on election day is at Rock Creek Park located at 445 Martin Rd, Dawsonville, GA 30534.
